Girls Night Out & Weekend Shenans

Happy Monday Y'all!

So I am starting my weekend and Thursday because I am a terrible blogger and am putting 2 posts in one.

Thursday night me and Catherine ( who has a pretty sweet blog as well) hit up Girls Night Out at Lenox Mall out here in Buckhead.
We got to meet the talented Tai Beauchamp from InStyle Magazine!
We did what we do best:
Networked
Mingled
Drank some Champs
Got some sweet goodies

Another reason why I am a terrible blogger? The pictures from Girls Night Out, all belong to Catherine. So really, go check her out!

Onto the actual weekend!
Which consisted of Weddings, Good food and company and some football!
Sad that our Eagles lost, but Falcons dominated the Dome! Rise up!

This wedding I worked this past weekend, happened to be the first wedding I helped book at the place I interned during the Spring. Time flies by so fast, seeing that we booked them in February!!

Hello Fall Favorite!

a moment of clarity

Linking up for another day of Blogtember!

Describe a distinct moment when your life took a turn.

I would definitely say it would have to be when I really figured out what I wanted to do with my life after college. for those who don't know, I have changed my major 5 times throughout college before deciding on recreation and tourism. At the time, I was a PR major sitting in my event planning class thinking how much this class was the only class I enjoyed going to and it wasn't even in my major. I dreaded going to all my PR classes, they were the worst. So literally two weeks before the end of my sophomore year in college I went to go see my professor who taught my event planning class and wanted to know what it would take for me to switch over. No hesitation what so ever. And just like that, I did. I knew this was the right choice because never had I made such a drastic decision in my life where it came so naturally and didn't have to think twice about it. I know so many people who struggle with that and even many more who graduate college one degree and don't do anything remotely similar to their degree. I feel so blessed that I not only finished with a Degree I am proud of, but get to enjoy what i learned and put it to use everyday.

Savannah Wedding Weekend

Happy Monday Y'all!
This girl is back from Savannah and not too happy about it!

As always Savannah never disappoints when I go down there, and this time wasn't no different.

Sweet View from our hotel room over looking the Historic District.

Got there Friday night around dinner time and the first thing we did was hit up Tubbys Tank House on River street for Dinner. YUM. Best part of ordering off the kids menu? The sweet coloring book you get!

Being that the wedding was an Black Tie Wedding and started later in the evening we had time to kill during the day. Hello Poolday and GiGi's Cupcakes!

The ceremony was in the The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist

LOVE this idea! Hello Wishing Tree!

Wouldn't be Pete's wedding without GSU tied in. GATA! Also, we won that day! Holla!

First dance!

The beautiful reception was at the Westin Resort & Spa. The venue itself is breathtaking! Makes you feel like you're at a destination wedding!
Belly Dancers!

 Photobooth fun!

Late night Trolley Shenanigans!

I had the best weekend with the girls, catching up with other friends from GSU and celebrating Pete and Sarah.

Five on Friday: Savannah Edition

Happy Friday Y'all! at 3 o'clock this girl is getting in her car and heading down to Savannah for Pete's Wedding Weekend!
Here are 5 things I am loving this week: Savannah Edition of course :)
Savannah has some of the most gorgeous scenery i've ever seen. The moss trees mixed with the historic charm is breathtaking!
River Street, enough said.
Working in the Hospitality industry has it's perks. Hello Hilton Hotel on River Street :)
Fresh Seafood!

And finally, spending time with these my ladies and celebrating Pete and Sarah!

Y'all have a good weekend!

None of Your Business

Linking up for Blogtember!
Can't promise it will be every day, but some of her topics are great, and I am gonna try my best to participate in all of them!

Thursday, September 5: Pass on some useful advice or information you learned and always remembered.

This quote pretty much sums it up for me. 2 definitely has helped me grow these past few years. It's so simple yet so hard to follow through sometimes. I used to care SO MUCH  what others thought of me, until one day I realized how insignificant they really are. And just like that I was like BYE!Especially when it came to people who only wanted to bring you down.

More often than not, it's easy to take advice but not follow through. I have done that time and time again. it's up to you to decide what someone tells you and how you're gonna take it.

Weekend Shenans Labor Day Edition

UGH! I don't know what's worse Mondays or coming back to work after a long weekend. Either way, it went by way too fast! Time for Weekend Shenanigans with Sami

Labor Day weekend consisted of a LOT of this...

 and some of this.

HELLO first Pumpkin Spiced Latte of the Season!
Jessica lives super close to Atlanta Motor Speedway so we saw a ton of this happening all weekend.
Nothing like Pretty Sunsets out in the country right after a storm comes through.
