Five on Friday

HELLO Friday and a four day weekend! Still getting back into the swing of things, and looking forward to this long weekend.

1. Britney and Vegas were AMAZING. Still sorting out all the pictures and videos, will definitely have that post up next week.

2. PSL is back y'all!

3. Nothing I love more than end of summer when football comes back, oh any maybe my PSL, HA.

4.speaking of Football, anyone else obsessed with Hard Knocks on HBO? It may or may not have something to do with this season it being about the Falcons.

5. I have already started putting reorganizing my closet and bringing out all of my Fall attire Even though I should know better that down here summer heat is never too far away.

Weekend

Happy Tuesday!
Here is a short weekend update since I have two days till VEGAS! Holla! And typical Lidija fashion have been waiting till last minute for everything.

This past weekend we celebrated Hilary! We threw this sweet girl a Monograms and Mimosas Bridal Shower. Me and Hilary go way back, like my freshman year of high school. I am so so glad that she has been in my life for these past ten years and that I get to be part of her special day!
Full post on the shower coming soonish.

I also celebrated Gloria's belated birthday. We went to Biergarten downtown and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a German Pub with the best German Brews and food.

Elevator Mirror Selfie.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of Skyline views.

Weekend Shenans

Happy Monday! With the crappy weather Atlanta has been having these past couple of days, this weekend was the perfect time for me to be a little low key and get me ready for the next couple of exciting weekends ahead!
Football is finally back! The Falcons won their preseason game against the Dolphins Friday night, so I was a happy girl!

Since I am trying to clear out some space on my phone, below are my weekend snaps that I got from my other social media accounts, terrible I know. Ha.

Like I said, crappy weather. Not gonna lie, I really do enjoy this type of weather when I don't have too much planned.
I did get creative in the Kitchen and made this delicious Pinterest Meatball Sub Casserole, and it was such a hit. I am adding this on my list of things that are definitely edible.
It was also a good weekend to get my workouts in at home. Thank you Youtube and Billy Blanks.

I lost my planner and just HAD to get a new one, even though I ordered the 2015 one from Kate Spade
This one will have to do until then.

24 Has Turned Me Into Susie Homemaker

Who would have that that getting older would prompt me to be more adventurous in the kitchen. I was craving something sweet with Bananas so I got on pinterest and looked around. I stumbled upon lots of good chocolate banana muffins. There were so many great recipes, but eventually I got mine HERE and then tweaked it a little bit.

Ingridients

1 cup rolled oats
1 cup milk
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
5 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp of pumpkin
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 overripe bananas mashed
1/2 cup chocolate chips

I wanted to add a little of a drizzle sauce so I mixed in some oats, butter, vanilla extract and cinnamon, and pumpkin and set it aside.

Here are the Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease 12 muffin cups. I mashed up my bananas, and then added the milk, and eggs.

Stir in  flour, rolled oats, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon,  and chocolate chips together in a bowl.

I put them in, then added the drizzle sauce. ( note, it did not come out as a sauce, but the oats mixed with cinnamon, pumpkin, and vanilla gave it a little something extra. )

Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or you can insert a toothpick and once it comes out clean then it's ready.

They didn't come out all pretty like I wanted them to, but they were Delish!
