Memorial Day Weekend

The worst part about coming back from a long weekend, is the amount of work that has to be caught up on, oh my goodness! I'm convincing myself that's the reason why I am just now getting to posting it! Ha!

My long weekend kind of started on Friday, even though I was still working, we were out of the office all day and got to work Lavonia Days at their Welcome center, I didn't hate it!

Seriously, love spending Summer Days at the Ted.

Oh hey Summer Thunderstorm, you were so not welcomed!

I've got friends in popular places. No biggie, my friend Hilary is on a street sign down in Midtown!

Weekend

The weekend consisted of catching up with the college roommates and making a whole day out of it. Love getting together with these ladies and catching up.

Lenox was first on the list. I can spend hours here just people watching. When I'm not doing that I am lusting over their two story Pottery Barn and Shoes at Nieman Marcus.
Dinner was at The Nook. This is one of my favorite places for Brunch, but dinner was just as delicious.

Five on Friday

Happy Friday!

 1. Happy 1 year work anniversary to me! Like where does the time go, seriously?

2. Over the weekend I hit up Ulta in need to adding a little more volume to my hair. Came across this Gem and am not disappointed! John Frieda has yet to let me down with their products.

3. Who else is excited for Orange is the New Black? if I read it correctly, Netflix is supposed to release all the episode weekend of June 6th! Hello lazy weekend and Netflix!

4. Has anyone seen this video? it's been circulating all week and how cute are they? I love when they break out out of the traditional dance and put a little spin on it.

5.  SO SO looking forward to our Roomie Reunion this weekend with these two! It has been way too long!

Linking up for Five on Friday!

What I learned after a year of working in the Real World

So on Tuesday it was my one year work anniversary with my current job. I know I always say where does the time go, but really?  it blows my mind. Wanna know more about my job, read Here.  Over the years people have always told me enjoy being young and carefree as much as you can, once you're done with college, the real world will not cut you any slack. I never thought too much about it because let's face it, I was too busy figuring out my weekly schedule of napping by the pool and what to wear for Thirsty Thursday down at Georgia Southern.

Well it's been over a year since I've been out of college and a full year of working a grown up job and here are some things I've learned along the way:

1. No matter how tired you are, you cannot call in sick the next day just because you went out the night before, or in my case read a really good book way past your bedtime.

2. Taxes? Yeah, those things exist, and once they figure out you are a single full time working adult, they tax you like a bi**!

3. Dressing up for work is fun, but do not wear the 6 inch pumps you wore back in the day when you were too drunk to feel how much your feet hurt. Invest in some comfortable heels, trust me on this.

4. Bills will keep coming, especially those student loans, no more requesting off pointless days with no pay.

5. You don't roll your eyes at the deals New York & Co and the Loft are always advertising, in fact you keep track of all the coupons they email you and get excited the go spend some money in there.

6. NETWORK! NETWORK! NETWORK!

7. Now that you are making real money, you can afford nicer things and not feel guilty about indulging.

8. Savings account, it is a LIFE SAVER!

9. You will have to learn to balance your work and your personal life.

10. Stick up for your self and what you want, do NOT let anyone walk all over you, but at the same time, you do not know it all, you have so much more to learn.

Mother's Day Weekend Recap

Happy Tuesday!

Hope everyone enjoyed Mother's Day! I loved spending the weekend with my Sweet Momma, taking her shopping and making the weekend about her.

Mushroom Ravioli! YUM!

Please tell me why instead of me and my younger brother being on our phone through Brunch, it was my parents. I got a good chuckle out of that one! HA.

5 on Friday

Happy Friday Y'all!
To get back on track with my somewhat regular blogging, i'm participating with one of my favorite link ups. :)

1. If you've already read my previous post, then you know that Britney Spears tickets have been purchased. Is it August yet? So many things I still need to do before then!

2. If you know my obsession with The Mindy Project then you know Tuesday night for the season finale was one of the best ones yet. I cannot wait for it to start back up again, that ending with her and Danny was everything!
3. I am still obsessing at how amazing Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds looked at the Met Gala. Like they are perfect!
4. I am really really thinking about cutting my hair short for the summer. This much hair is such a hassle sometimes. I can't decide how I feel about this hair cut?

5. Looking forward to celebrating Mother's Day this weekend with my sweet Momma! Words cannot describe how much I appreciate her. I can only hope I will be half the mom that she has been to me and my brother.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there!

Life Lately

Hi Friends!
I can't believe that I have not blogged on almost a month. I am the worst.  So much has been happening these last few weeks that i just decided to focus on getting things back in order with my life, ha.

I know I've shared on here before my goal to get back into the gym and I have been doing VERY good lately. Hello 10 pound weight loss!  it might be just me, but seeing those numbers go down on the scale motivates me more and more. That is mostly where my focus has been these past few weeks.

As of last week, our Britney Spears Tickets have been purchased, Hello VEGAS!

Hello cupcake ATM at Lenox. My new favorite thing there.
Can we go back to my obsession with Madison! She is growing up way too fast, she's already 4 months!
