Friday Five

As the week is coming to an end, here is what I've been obseesed with!
This shampooand conditioner set is pure bliss. My hair feels AMAZING afterwards.

My hair started to feel damaged with all the products i've used over the years but this heat protection spray has helped a ton. Within a week my hair is starting to feel healthier.

Having thick hair I usually don't like straightening it in the summer time, but this kerathin spray leaves my hair straight for a while!

Just got these Jessica Simps on monday and I am OBSESSED. They are super comfortable too!

Most of the time I do my own nails and sinful colors has always worked best for me. They have a new summer line out and I stocked up!

Letting Go

I knew I would be terrible at keeping up with blogging everyday. But today is one I penciled in my calendar just to do it. Thursday May 30th:

Letting Go

I have the hardest time sometimes coming to terms with this. It seems so simple to just let little things that seem to bother you go. Maybe because I am the type of person who will go out of their way to help out a friend in need, or when I say I will do something I do it. Learning to let go of the people who keep disappointing me has proven to be a challenge but a challenge that I am finally starting to accept.
Staying disappointing only puts me in a worse mood than before. So here I am trying really hard to to let go of things that only bring me down in the end. In the end this could be letting go of a friendship, letting go of someone or something that I know isn't good for me, or even something simple as letting go of a memory I know I can never get back.

Sunday Social! (First Timer)

Linking up for my first Sunday Social!

1. What is your best summer memory as a kid?
Pool times with all the neighborhood kids and being able to stay out later to play games like hide n seek.

2. What is your favorite summer drink?
Pineapple and Malibu, obvi!

3. What is your favorite summer TV show?
Lately I haven't had time to watch tv, so I usually use summer to catch up on all the shows I missed through out the year!

4. What is the best outdoor summer activity?
Being poolside, Braves games, and going to the beach.

5. What are your summer vacation essentials?
Sun dresses, Big sunglasses, tanning oil, cute shoes.

These were pretty neat. Safe to say I will try to do this every week.
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their Memorial Day weekend!

Suit Yourself

Hey Y'all!
So those of you who are in the Atlanta area MUST know about The Bert Show. I listen to them religiously every morning. They are SO funny and keep me entertained every morning on my drive to work.
Yesterday they had a segment talking about summer and the number one way girls can get into a bikini? The secret is OWNING it. That's right, own it and #suityourself. Don't be afraid to show what you got, embrace it!
I loved this segment and shortly after i got on instagram and #suityourself was totally trending on instragram with women with all shapes and sizes owning what they got and they all looked great. If you want to participate just get on IG or twitter of yourself in a bathing suit and hashtag suityourself. So here I am suiting myself and supporting and embracing this movement!

Life in The Real World

Hey Y'all!
So I mentioned last week that I finally got a job! And it's my dream job! I am literally beyond blessed to have been offered a job within the field that I wanted days within my internship ending.
So what do I do exactly? I am a Sales Coordinator for a Hilton Brand Hotel! My job is to keep track of all the bridal and corporate business we get, and can I just say that we get A LOT!
This past week I have done nothing but learn about the hotel brand and there is a ton to learn.  Can we say info overload?
so far, I love everything about my job! The people I work with are great, the guests are wonderful, I get to dress up everyday, and my office is pretty sweet. I mean those are the perks that every girl wants in a dream job! Right?!
I really cannot express how grateful I am for this opportunity and to know that everyday when I go into work  I am reminded that I know I made the right decision and cannot wait to see where it leads me.

Here is my desk! (Still working on decorating it) :)

The Other Side of Fear.

This quote explains it all. Because when you really think about it, fear is the only thing stopping you from doing and getting what you want. What if he says no? What if I am not good enough? What if I jump and I fall? All these questions have fear standing in between you and your goal. My advice with this would be just to try. Yes the worst that could happen is you might not get what you want, but at least you tried. And being rejected is way better than not knowing what could have, would have, or should have happened!

Since I already missed six days, it's safe to say I will fail at doing this everyday.  This Blogger is amazing. Got it from her site and will do one every now and then!

Officially Done!

So yesterday was my last day of my internship! Since I am new to the blogging world and people still  don't know too much about me let me tell you a little bit more about me!
In high school I wanted to major is psychology and be a behavior analysts. (I watched way too many  episodes of criminal minds).  In high school I also worked at a country club where I did everything from being the bev cart girl on the golf course to working weddings. Weddings were my favorite thing to work. I literally couldn't wait to go into work on the days that I knew we had a wedding. It wasn't until my second year in college where I realized I wanted to get into event planning because I knew I was good at it and I had such a passion for it. So after changing my major four times I settled on hospitality and tourism.

Fast forward to January of this year where I started my internship at a country club in the Johns Creek area. I followed my old boss to her new job and ended up at The Standard Club. Over the last sixteen weeks I have learned SO much! I will forever be grateful for everyone in my life who has helped me get to where I am now. And to put it in perspective for me that I am in the right field going to do what I love. These past two weeks I have also gone on countless interviews trying to figure out my next move. Fingers crossed that I get these two jobs that I think would be a perfect fit for me. I won't say anything just yet, just so I don't jinx myself. Ha.

I am officially no longer a college student. I thought graduating in December that I would feel like an adult, but to be honest I still kind of dont. Maybe it will hit me sometime soon or maybe it will never hit me, all I know is I'm enjoying the ride and seeing what's next for me.

Wedding Wednesday: Will You Be My Bridesmaid?

I told y'all I wouldn't even last a day without blogging again! The main reason I did another one right away is because I mentioned in my first post how much I LOVE weddings and event planning. Well recently one of my dear friends Ashley got engaged on Valentine's Day (Cute I know) and asked me to be her bridesmaid! I was beyond excited and am so blessed and grateful to be able to share this special day with her and Eric next March!

First and foremost, let me introduce Ashley!

Ashley and I met down at Georgia Southern when she was visiting our good friend Jessica and we hit it off right away! I knew we would get along from the beginning and I was right. Ever since then when ever I came home back up to Atlanta for the weekend or holidays me and Ashley would get together. It's been over two years now since we became friends and I look at her as a sister and know we will be friends when we are old and wrinkly. (Even though all of our friends call us old now, HA).

Ashley asked us to be bridesmaids in the cutest way ever! She knew how excited I was to help her plan the wedding, and I was even more excited and honored when she asked me to be her bridesmaid! About two sundays ago we had planned on going out for dinner one night and that's when she asked me! It was the cutest thing, she had a gift box and inside it had a hanger with the word Bridesmaid engraved and then a card asking to be her Bridesmaid!

How cute was that idea?!?

These days everyone is wanting to be more creative with everything. Here are a few more ways you can ask your friends to be part of your special day!

There are so many more neat ways to ask someone to be part of your special day! Doing this post has me so excited for all the bridesmaid duties we have coming up with Ashley. I am so looking forward to it!
